Below we can see that the Dodgers and the Padres were fighting for the division lead up until about game 70. After game 70, the Dodgers clearly took off while the rest of the division fluctuated around the mean. We can also see that Rockies had a strong start to the beginning of the year, but then quietly fell to the back of the pack after game 30.
